… bringing people and ideas together …
2022
17th meeting, Siem Reap, Cambodia
After two cancellations, the conference on modern analytical chemistry was held in November 6-10, 2022.
Initially, the joint “East meets West” symposium to promote mutual collaboration of scientists around the world included APCE (Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Microscale Separations and Analysis) and CECE (International Interdisciplinary Symposium on Bioanalysis). This year, we also welcomed the ITP (International Symposium on Electro- and Liquid Phase- Separation Techniques) and IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) sections.
For almost two decades, both APCE (in Asia) and CECE (in Europe) focused on (bio)analysis, capillary separations, microfluidics, and mass spectrometry coupling. The theme of the joint conference is “Better lives through better bioanalytical and environmental analyses”. It was a wonderful playground for exchanging ideas, progresses, and urgent issues and for being acquainted with each other for future collaborations. In addition, IUPAC sessions on “The Environment, Health and Food Safety Impact of Microplastics” and “Per and Polyfluroalkyl Substances (PFASs) in the Environment” was showcasing the state-of-the-art tools used to analyze microplastics in the environment and discussing its current status on health effects. Furthermore, many exciting sessions covering a broad range of analytical sciences run during the joint meeting.
The conference report has been published Separations 2023 . You can find it at: doi.org/10.3390/separations10020109.
